Pros

Opportunities — Due to the diverse range of services ITCON provides, there are plenty of opportunities to grow into many roles in an information technology career or a business career in general. Training — Similar to the opportunities mentioned above, if you are interested in a career path that ITCON specializes in, you will be provided with the opportunity to grow those skills through training reimbursement. Convenient Location — The headquarters is in a great location right off of the L’Enfant Plaza Metro and is within walking distance of The Wharf and the National Mall. Management — My managers have always been helpful and attentive. They treat me as a member. Collaborative Environment — No Teams at ITCON truly work alone and everyone is able to help each other in some way. It helps make the company feel connected and like we are all working towards the same goal. Breakroom — The breakroom has a nice coffee machine that can make a variety of coffee and other drinks like hot chocolate, as well as hot or cold water. And a variety of teas. It is a small thing but if you don’t have to carry your coffee or water on your commute (or go buy some once you get to work) it is appreciated. Compensation — ITCON is great about recognizing and rewarding hard work. Opportunities for annual and spot bonuses do exist and do happen alongside healthy salaries. Other benefits are ;like health, dental, and vision are all competitive with the market.

Cons

Office layout — The office is in a great location, but the actual workspace can use some work. We work at long tables without any clear barriers, which can often feel cramped and impersonal. Small barriers that clearly segment space would be helpful so people can better personalize their space or hang up decorations, or just feel like they have a little privacy. Also, all of the monitors sitting plainly on the tables makes the office feel like an abandoned IT hardware warehouse if you are around after hours. Snacks — Nothing major but the snacks feel like they are rationed out and can be scarce. Of course, company provided snacks are nice, but if they run out and you forgot to pack enough food for the day, you will have to wander outside into the city as there aren’t vending machines either.

Pros

Decent training, loved my supervisor, fair pay rate, no micromanagement

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints other than that we don't have much control on if we are out of work or not but that is not their fault, it's the way the contract works.

Pros

Met some good co-workers, it would be a good place to work if management did a better job of empowering employees and creating a less toxic environment.

Cons

This company fosters a highly toxic work environment. Management frequently provides unclear direction, yet employees are held responsible when results do not align with shifting expectations. Senior leadership operates with moving targets, creating instability and frustration across teams. The culture discourages accountability at the top—senior managers rarely challenge the CEO, even when they recognize mistakes, due to fear of reprisal. Women in leadership face particular challenges, with a noticeable pattern of high turnover among female managers. HR also experiences significant attrition, likely a result of constant exposure to the CEO’s behavior.
