Pros

Overall good company culture but currently having a rough period with lower morale (over the years the culture has been more positive than negative) A majority of the employees are smart, hard working, and take pride in their work Large stable and growing international company Very Few Layoffs Bonuses 401K

Cons

New systems are constantly rolled out with numerous programming bugs before they are properly tested (results in inefficiencies, reduced productivity, poor quality, low employee morale, client visible embarassment). The systems problems fall on deaf ears at the Sr. Management level. Systems are often phased out before the IT group even gets them working properly. Very weak IT group that is less interested in quality and more interested in getting a system online on the target date and under budget...and the rest of the company pays a steep price. Reorganization has resulted in numerous staff in roles for which they do not belong. Current price war with competition resulting in billable staff being over allocated. Quintiles often not adequately resourced so new projects often have embarassing resourcing crises. Quintiles appears to be very top heavy with lots of layers of non billable senior management and not enough billable 'boots on the ground'. Currently there is a campaign to artifically change the culture at Quintiles. Instead of spending their time, money, and efforts wisely to fix the resourcing and IT issues, Sr Management is foolishly trying to manipulate the way its employees think with constant 'messaging' campaigns. This insults the intelligence of the highly educated workforce and lowers the confidence employees have in Sr. Management. The culture at Quintiles would be just fine if the IT and resourcing problems were fixed.

Pros

Remote work option is nice to have

Cons

Zero support from management, with employee development and team concerns often taking a back seat to other priorities. Morale continues to go downhill, and several colleagues exploring opportunities elsewhere or leaving the organization already. The culture is challenging, particularly around providing candid feedback, as employees often are tracker down and face negative repercussions and retaliations. Career advancement depends more on aligning with leadership preferences than on merit and performance. Would not recommend this company to those seeking a supportive environment with transparent growth opportunities. Overall, the culture is political and difficult to navigate.
