Pros

very generous benefits program for healthcare, and a push for mental health support. I appreciated the gratis program as well. They are offering more ERGs and activities to build better cross-functional relationships. I was happy with the growth opportunities I have had.

Cons

day to day communications between cross-functional teams can be tough

Pros

ILIA has great formulas, so it feels good to rep a product I love. The people are kind, collaborative, invested, and down to earth. Leadership is open to new ideas, and it feels like there’s mostly an eagerness to try new things that move the needle. They’re generous with free product and team outings/experiences. The people here are really smart and there’s a lot to learn.

Cons

Workload can be demanding and deadlines feel nonstop (kind of standard for the industry though). Processes can feel disorganized at times, but there is a recent effort to streamline.

Pros

Great Benefits, extra benefits most companies don't offer, like free therapy, AMAZING gifts for Christmas, and the PAY for your insurance. Another is that the people/culture is amazing. They do well with hiring. The company also does a cool sales meeting format. Sales/Field team does their own offsite retreat, and every other year the whole company does the same together. Very cool. Sasha, the founder, is still VERY involved in the best way. Very hands on for a founder. Gratis!! Each AE gets $200-350 to spend on COG priced product from ILIA each quarter to give away to stores and/or order yourself some product. Also, $250 a quarter for product on ILIAbeauty.com. THE PRODUCT IS AMAZING. Truly, coming from Dior cosmetics, this is the same quality if not better. Unlimited PTO

Cons

Terrible contradictions and some of the values are not upheld by a lot of the upper management. HR does not "live with integrity" - they say they are all about mental health at ILIA. Well I went on an LOA for my mental health for 30 days; It got approved and everything was perfect. Well, they let me go when I got back and it was based on performance, but I was performing in line with the company. Just a way around the concern that I went on and LOA for mental health. Another is that they have HIGH expectations for events, really unattainable. Budget is really tight all the time for T&E and Freelance budgets. Not as a cost effective tactic, they just spend money on really unnecessary things so it impacts the overall EBITA; spend is on non business matters. Favoritism - good luck being promoted from within. They for one, don't want to backfill your role and deal with all that comes with an open territory. Bad product launches, there is always a stock issue when ILIA launches a product. So it sells out the first day because there was 3 of each shade shipped to the store. Always behind the game. When there is a trend ILIA is not in line. When something is viral they don't utilize it to their advantage. Marketing is pretty bad outside of photography and catchy phrases. Salaried working overtime alllllllllllllll they time. No work/life balance. Always being contacted by your coworkers/boss/freelance team when you are not working. Terrible event collateral, good luck making your goal with the small set up you have and GWP that are terrible. Horrible communication. They contact you when you're on Bereavement to do work. No recognition for achieving high goals/doing great things
