Pros
- ESOP - every employee has ownership (shares) in the company - Allowed to work without micromanagement - Quarterly and yearly bonuses bases on the companies growth as a whole
Cons
- Raises are given on a company wide basis. Granted it may be 5% of your salary, but it is not based on your performance. If you're getting a raise it's because everyone is getting a raise. I think one should be rewarded for the good work they do, and those who do lackluster work should not receive a raise. But that's a part of the ESOP mentality.
