Pros

People you talk to are generally really nice. Used to have 4.5 days work week, flexible work schedule, fully remote.

Cons

There is a significant issue with employee retention; the high turnover rate makes it difficult to maintain team morale. The management style is heavily focused on micromanagement with several meetings every week, which limits individual autonomy and trust. Leadership feels disconnected from the day-to-day operations, leading to a lack of clear direction. There are very few paths for internal promotion or professional development after the acquisition from 200 to 1500 employees overnight.

Pros

Sometimes you'll hear of the good old days.

Cons

Incoming acquiring company, Employment Hero, has dismantled all that was good about Humi. All said below is about new humi. Weird timezone requirements. No regard for compliance. New management has an odd love elon musk. No real org structure. Offshore Engineering team builds things fast to do work instead of properly engineering things. Dates are chosen before assessing the actual plans. Upper management at EmploymentHero are bad people with a good paycheque. Nobody is happy now making the workplace feel worse. Management will try and make things better with on-site discussions and stale baked goods. Once one of the top rated places to work in Canada, Humi has become another offshored piece of trash. It is Humi only by name now. Avoid this like the plague. This is a rotten apple now.
