Pros

Seem to be in the business of helping people and changing lives.

Cons

Working at the Human Garage was nothing but false promises and disappointment. Some employees were placed on thrown's and deemed exceptional individuals, while others were ridiculed and deemed incompetent. Salaried staff acted as though hourly staff needed to "pay their dues." No leadership in the entire company and no point of accountability was and or ever established for that matter. Seemed as though they relied on the front desk staff to clean up their messes. Those poor girls at the front desk were treated amongst the worst at the Garage and said to be incompetent because they were mostly Latina. Clearly stated judgment toward that department. No regard for employees work experience, they were constantly placing over qualified individuals in basic entry level positions while under-qualified individuals were placed in positions that required years of experience. Any if not all of the therapists are not certified PT's. Could NOT pay their employees on pay day. Sometimes 2-3 weeks before paychecks would be made. Favored employees were paid before others, while checks bounced and peoples livelihoods fell apart. NEVER EVER paid unpaid wages for all the days employees continued to work unpaid. Clients were also treated with the same demeanor. Offering incredible resources, and attention to treatment to those people whom were said to be "somebodies" while the "everyday" folk were not treated with the same curtesy. Many client complaints that were not paid fine attention to, not heard, or even bothered to be followed up with. Bottom line: they base everything on favoritism and nepotism.
