Pros
Once a year for a couple of weeks it feel like you're doing something cool. The people actually working in the trenches are hard workers and have your back.
Cons
The organization runs very top-down and unfortunately the people at the top are VCR technicians living in a Netflix world. The management is all male and they are very afraid of new ideas and approaches. Everything is done to cover your back and then they complain when the results and attendance get worse every year. It is like trying to get the Titanic to shift course, it just doesn't happen. Plus, people like HR are there to do everything pro the organization and against the employee.
