Pros
Working for a local, family-run business has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s clear that management genuinely cares about employee well-being, which creates a supportive and positive work environment. The company culture is inclusive and welcoming, and there are plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues across departments. One of the standout aspects is the social committee, which does a fantastic job of organizing monthly events and thoughtful gestures that really make you feel appreciated. Recently, the company also introduced a “Summer Fridays” program, which has been a huge morale booster and a great way to encourage work-life balance. Overall, it's a wonderful place to work with a team that truly feels like family.
Cons
While the work can be very rewarding, it’s not without its challenges. At times, especially during the busy season, the workload can feel overwhelming. The fast-paced environment requires strong time management and adaptability, which can be stressful if you're not prepared for it. That said, I’m fortunate to be part of a supportive team that helps each other through the tough stretches.
