Pros
Car allowance if you have a good gas saver. The people you meet in the stores and work with. Pretty good health benefits (hence the 3 stars on compensation). Culture is ok.
Cons
Leadership - Very out of touch with the daily activities that go on They don't pay you for what you actually do. More tasks get added on that your expected to do and are not compensated accordingly. GPS phones and if your an early bird in order to beat the traffic in Metro areas forget it. You have to start and end at a certain time and are not allowed the benefit of traffic. They will track your EVERY minute. I will state again that tasks are continuously added with no additional pay. They will run you ragged! No, none, zero opportunities for advancement (20 people competing for one promotion). Management loves to dangle a carrot in your face knowing you will never be able to get it. That's how they get you to do more tasks without paying. The sales manager (I think now is the national sales manager) lies, snake oil, and full of bs. Their idea of merchandising is sweeping the inside of insanely hot sheds, cleaning fecal mater from bums living in them, and moving displays around the parking lot like a monkey. Job description makes it sound so easy and simple, but their best kept secret is that you have NO idea of all of the hidden tasks that come with it. This job would be more ideal for a recent HS grad.
