Pros

- $500 reimbursement for just about anything with additional $500 for gym membership. - Quarterly-end free meals (though sometimes they skip a day because HV overall doesn't have the budget). - New people usually tend to be friendlier and optimistic until the everything hits the fan.

Cons

Don't let this facade fool you. The new building in Santa Clara Square is to just to attract younger and talented employees, yet upper management seem to scoff and are inconsiderate at every idea or work process that comes their way. - Constantly sharing that there's transformation but HV has been in this "transformation" for 10+ years. - Bad apples are everywhere that they motivate the other good apples to turn rotten as well. - No communication within the Executive Team, and if there is it's usually rare and not shared with lower management. - WFH is HIGHLY looked down upon in the finance team. Seriously? We're in Silicon Valley and the roads on Fridays are empty let alone there being downtime!! - Not recommended for people who are < 35 or who want a hip culture. - Despite the move to the new building in Santa Clara Square, people still send emails as though each cube space has walls and despite they're literally sitting beside you. - Only provided company party was the Xmas Party. Other holidays are non-existent.

Pros

Decent pay, average benefits, some autonomy to get things done

Cons

The entire leadership group that I was hired under was gone within 18 months and replaced but far worse examples. Micro-managing and then threatening corrective action plans as a means to force out those who they didn't like or earned too much. From a technology perspective, the storage products are average and inline with competition, but with far fewer reps in the field and no real marketing or inside sales to speak of, Hitachi Vantara is largely irrelevant in the Storage industry now.
