Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback — I know the last year has brought a lot of change, and that hasn’t been easy. While I can’t speak to rumors, I can clarify a few facts. We have not reduced anyone’s pay, and we haven’t implemented any new pay cuts. We did move to a geo-based compensation model to ensure fairness, compliance, and long-term sustainability as a global company. That shift did not reduce pay for existing teammates, and it was communicated through multiple channels with space for Q&A and discussion.
Our leadership team agrees that transparency through change is critically important. We’ve worked to communicate openly about the business context, our evolving compensation philosophy, and our ongoing priorities — even when the news is complex or hard. We’ll continue to focus on stability, clarity, and support for everyone on the team, while maintaining the flexibility, product quality, and people-first culture that have always defined Help Scout.
