I've been working here for just over 6 months.
-Everyone puts in about 8 hours a day but the time you start and finish is fairly flexible.
-Studio is ambitious and growing fast, but still small enough that there's a lot of room to grow and there's often collaborative projects between departments so you're not really restricted to one discipline.
-I feel very comfortable voicing any concerns. There's usually a department-wide meeting once a month in which were asked about such, and although the leads make the final decisions it feels like everyone is welcome to share their opinions.
-Leads/owner are all extremely friendly and approachable.
-Haven't had any overtime/crunch in the entire time I've worked here.
-It's evident that the people that work here have a genuine love not only for video games but for each other! Not uncommon to see people playing video games/board games together at lunch.
-Pet friendly! It's not to uncommon to see a couple of good boys (and one large boy) walking around the office.
Cons
-The office is located in Burnaby so depending on where you live it's a bit of a trek
-Your options for meals are limited as there isn't much nearby in walking distance
