Like many companies, they lean into the “we’re a family” message. In practice, it often feels like a way to ask for just a little more from you every single day. You want to believe the words coming through the teeth. You want to believe they care about the people they claim to serve. You want to believe they care about their employees. At the beginning, you might even believe it. But eventually the actions outweigh the sentiment. And the decisions outweigh the tears.
