Pros

I had a great direct supervisor for the majority of my time with HarperCollins Christian Publishing. The health insurance was good and covered a lot of extras (fertility treatments, breastfeeding consultants, counseling, voluntary sterilization, etc.).

Cons

Once my direct supervisor left, I was supervised by their former manager, who was incompetent and petty. I was expected to take on more responsibilities without a promotion or commensurate raise in pay. I was repeatedly blocked from pursuing other lateral and vertical moves within the company. This is true everywhere in publishing, but the pay for this role was well below market rates, and well below what my direct supervisor advocated for paying me. Roles at HCCP have rate limits, and you can't make over $40K as a Marketing Associate, even if your work is deserving of it. They also handled the transition to remote work poorly: only a measly $500 stipend and no raises for the 2020 fiscal year--despite the company overall having an extremely profitable year. I got basically the same role elsewhere (not in publishing) with a significant increase in salary, more time off, more opportunity for advancement, and a less demoralizing and toxic work environment at a fully remote company.
