Pros
Some co-workers are fantastic to work with. Upper management in my store is also pretty good and fun to be around.
Cons
A lot of work for no actual pay off. Only 3-4 of us in a department of 10+ care about the work and do the work, yet raises never reflect this. At most the difference between someone who slacks and someone who carries the workload is 10-20 cents. On top of that, leads who have been at hannafords for years are making the same pay as leads getting hired right now. Some of us put 4-8 years into the company and have no raises to show for it since people walking through the door are getting paid the exact same if they are hired into a lead position (not difficult to get when almost nobody is applying). It makes no sense for someone who has worked here for 8 years to be making the same as a new hire, especially when that person has contributed to the departments success over the years heavily.
