Learn a lot but bad environment - Product Integration Engineer Haas Automation Employee Review

Pros

My boss was awesome and same with my team. Good bonuses (if they are hit). Usually hourly so get paid for OT. Most engineers kept their jobs during covid while lots of manufacturing companies had layoffs. Great place to start, helps you learn a lot. Play multiple hats and gain lots of experience in industry. Also a pretty diverse group of workers. Lots of cool gear to wear.

Cons

Bonuses are definitely not guaranteed. Pay ranking is weird. At most you get 4% raises every year, but will probably be less. Tight deadlines. Lots of work. High expectations and little training. Low pay in comparison to most other companies. Very hostile environment where managers throw other managers under the bus. Worst benefits I've ever seen at a company especially at this size.

Pros

This is a great company to work for. As a manufacturing engineer you get a well rounding experience that allows you to get hands-on assembly/troubleshooting experience, tool design experience, and new product implementation experience. The pay is competitive with monthly bonuses as well as annual bonuses and the 401K discretionary contribution by the employer ends up being higher than the average match offered by other employers. Overall, Haas is a great place to work!

Cons

The only con in my opinion is that the company is moving production to Henderson, NV.
