Pros
- Good responsibilities if you're a junior - Nice office location in Frankfurt - Fab lunch spots near the Frankfurt office - You can probably get a great salary but if this ever is delayed, flee. - Neill Bloomkamp is a nice guy, though I can't imagine he'll stick around
Cons
- Allegations of assault in the office, leadership then made jokes and gaslighted them. - When people resigned after this, Studio management first offered promotions and extra money to retain staff, then spoke negatively about previous staff members if they continued to leave. - Expect petty politics from Studio Leadership. - Salary payments in Frankfurt were delayed multiple times. - Salary payments in Ukraine weren't paid for multiple months. - Do not accept a paid apartment from the company, this is to retain - I am a disabled employee, expect studio leadership to throw offensive phrases around, inclusivity and diversity is not accounted for. - Studio leadership will not have your back when your work is delayed due to them changing priorities mid-milestone. - Most of the great top tier talent has left the company and this shows in poor game dev practices - Poor Creative Leadership and lack of commitment to a clear single vision results in persistent rework of core features - No overall, high level design vision on how to have features interact, compliment and support each other, which results in a collection of features rather than a "Good" game. - Colleagues complaining about other colleagues is rife. - Some team members repeatedly punched walls, swearing/ shouting in the office then got promoted because they threatened to leave, line managers didn't address his behaviour. - Teaches poor management, leadership, game development methods, and a poor team mentality to juniors and interns, I hope that they are able to keep their passion for game dev and find better places
