Pros

You’ll learn how much stress, dysfunction, and disregard for employees you can tolerate. Useful only if you're desperate or need a "what not to do" case study.

Cons

Where to even begin? This was by far the most chaotic and demoralizing work environment I’ve ever been in. Zero communication: Leadership is opaque, constantly shifting priorities without notice or context. You’ll often find out you were "expected" to do something you were never told about. Lack of integrity: There is no ethical north star here. Promises made during interviews were ignored once the job began — including around role expectations and timelines. No support structure: No onboarding, no documentation, no guidance. You’re thrown into the deep end and then blamed when you can’t swim. Toxic leadership style: Micromanagement mixed with absenteeism. Feedback is non-existent unless it’s criticism. Leadership has a superiority complex and zero empathy. Culture of fear: People walk on eggshells, constantly anxious about saying the wrong thing or being the next scapegoat. High turnover isn't a fluke — it's baked into the system.

We’re truly sorry to read about your experience, and we regret that it was such a negative one. What you described is definitely not the environment we want to create for our team. As a young startup just over a year old, we recognize that our processes are still developing and that at times things can feel unstructured and fast-paced. While we make a point of sharing this reality during the hiring process, we also know that this doesn’t make it easier when someone is in the middle of it. We take feedback like yours very seriously. It helps us understand where we need to grow — from improving communication, to strengthening onboarding, to making sure our leadership and culture reflect the values we stand for. We’re committed to becoming a better, more supportive workplace as we continue to evolve. Thank you for sharing your perspective. We genuinely wish you all the best in your future opportunities. — GrowthX AI Team

Pros

I’ve been here for while, and I think I’ve found my place. I know different work cultures suit different people, but this one really clicks for me. The remote-first setup actually works here. Async communication is the default, which means nobody expects instant responses and you can structure your day around what works for you. I have maybe a few meetings per week at most. It’s your responsibility to deliver results and do great work, but if you can handle that autonomy, you’ll do well. For me, being able to set my own schedule has been huge since I have family commitments. The company is genuinely AI-centered, not just as a buzzword. They’ve integrated AI tools at a level I haven’t seen elsewhere, and it’s actually useful - I can ask the AI when I need help, which sounds weird but works surprisingly well in practice. Everyone’s been helpful and collaborative, which matters when you’re mostly working remotely. The hiring process was refreshingly fast - less than two weeks from initial recruiter call to signed offer. I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s ready to work remotely, take ownership of their work, and wants to be at a startup doing real things with AI.

Cons

On the flip side, there’s a lot to learn. Since the AI market is so new, not everyone has experience using these tools in such practical ways, so it can feel overwhelming at first. You need to be comfortable figuring things out as you go. Also, no 401k currently, though the IPO policy is generous (unlimited). If you need a lot of structure or hand-holding, this probably isn’t the right fit.

Pros

I've worked at a lot of very toxic and exploitative startups and GrowthX is none of that (and culture always starts at the top). This is by far the most diverse team of very kind + hard working people i've encountered in my career. - Strong exposure across the business - Opportunity to shape processes (iykyk) - High trust, high autonomy - A lot of responsibility (pro if you're a person that likes responsibility) - Really cool clients mostly in the tech space - strong supportive and communicative culture overall, this is a great company for someone who likes ownership, establishing process, building, etc. leadership will give you lots of support if you embrace leadership

Cons

- Startup pace can feel intense at times. it's easy to work too much, but as the business scales, work is getting more and more diversified allowing ppl to focus on specialities - Ambiguity is part of the job, especially as things evolve (this is not a con for everyone). This is not conventional corporate tech so you can't expect the slow pace that comes with decisions moving up and down a corporate hierarchy
