One of the funniest rules is that, despite having an in-house HR app, the SF team is still required to manually send "Connected" and "Disconnected" messages on Teams when they arrive and leave the office. This rule is selectively enforced to some teams but not others. This highlights a lack of trust in employees and signaling that the company is moving backwards in terms of employee autonomy. Toxic environment within the team. The manager frequently works from home and delegates most of his responsibilities to other team members. It gives the impression that he may be working another job, as he often takes leave. Despite this, the person he reports to never questions his absence, even though he often object to leave requests from other team members. Some team members have raised concerns with HR but no use as the HR manager also appears to act under the influence of the reporting manager, offering no real support to employees.
