Pros

Granite is a company where anyone with a Bachelor's Degree can gain corporate experience. The entry level pay is exactly on target with the rest of the market for entry level roles for new grads with little to no corporate experience. They also provide excellent perm benefits and a 401k match. I find it odd that so many people complain about working 8-5. It seems that if you don't like working 8-5 you shouldn't look to work in corporate America. Hours are 8-5 or 6PM in the vast majority of companies. Also in terms of pay, it's impossible to graduate and find a job that pays $40-45k+ if you haven't worked in an office environment before. I think that's hard for people to accept. Granite offers a lot of opportunity.

Cons

No particular cons stand out. No matter what company you work for, each person is going to have their own experience based on their personality and work ethic. No matter where you work in life, if you work hard and have a good attitude you'll do well and be treated well.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
