Pros
A wonderful and exciting place place to work as a researcher. A lot of freedom to make an impact in any area, but not much support from admin. It is what you should expect in a young research university.
Cons
The research professorships are not well established and it is about the same as working for a private company. GMU has a very tiered system with tenure track faculty at the top.
