The people are mostly good, pay is okay, work can be cool if you're into DoD stuff
Cons
Not many career development opportunities, not many bonuses and the raises are sad, and the work itself can be monotonous

Projects matter for our war fighters
Most co-workers are competent and dedicated
More work than people, and moving to other engineering jobs is possible
Cons
