Pros
Easy to pick up, hard to master daily routine and tasks makes for rewarding customer interactions and sales when you have it down Some of the best co-workers in the industry
Cons
Rampant communication issues from ownership often with emails and phonecalls not being responded to for weeks and even months at a time. Business model has not and will not modernize with the ownerships current vision for the company. Sluggish compensation scales and next to no raises. In my 4 years with the company I received 1 $0.25 raise above starting wage for my position. Bonuses negligible to the point of being a non-starter. Many employees have been/are in positions they have no business occupying solely based on their familial relation to the owner. A few key employees are overworked while the vast majority of employees are under-utilized with some of the worst task-delegation I've ever seen. This company's upper-management will take everything you can give, and then ask why you want to be compensated for it. While I was here I maintained the website, social media, online store, console repairs, document drafting and guide writing, on-site tech support/electrical and installations, and more all while making base wage. Extremely confusing structure to the company, with the HR rep also occupying the GM/AGM role. With no one at the helm every store feels like its own island, and with sales bonuses based on raw numbers so transferring much needed stock between stores is indirectly discouraged. HR does not keep confidential complaints and documents confidential, and will show complaints with your name on it to the offending party with no obfuscation.
