Fulton County Itinerant Teacher - Teacher Fulton County Schools Employee Review

Pros

Fulton County pays better than most other counties in the area.

Cons

As an itinerant teacher I was placed at four schools, which was not manageable. I was expected to maintain that many classrooms, bulletin boards, and inventory. Additionally, I was told if I stayed I would receive fewer schools or one school the next year. I was still given four schools with no option for fewer, which is why I resigned and pursued a different job.

Pros

You get a wide variety of schools to work with.

Cons

South Fulton and Alpharetta are really far away from the city center, and there can be a lot of favoritism in those areas. Paraprofessional pay is very low, and that can sometimes be the only thing that is available on Aesop. You may barely have a break to take your lunch - 30 mins or so.
