Pros
There are Keurig machines with hot chocolate and lots of flavors of coffee and tea. Some* co-workers are cool and fun; lots of people are young, so if you're young it can be nice.
Cons
There is a lot of gossip. Many of the employees are female, and I am female also. Most days in my open office area, I could hear some one talking about me, at first neutral things. Then it turned into catty things, such as what I looked like and what I was wearing that day. At the end, it was about how I was going to be fired. It was unprofessional that not only did everyone know I was going to be terminated before I did, but that they would just be constantly talking about it in the open parts of the office. I was terminated because it took some time for me to grasp the basic knowledge I needed, and also because I was not working at the breakneck speed they expect and/or stayed overtime to get it all done. Also, the supervisors are very gossipy. Some of them even seem to enjoy treating assistant paralegals like they are clueless children, as if they cannot tell that they are being treated meanly or being laughed at behind their back.
