Compensation should be in line with other AMLAW firms - particularly when billing requirements, work hours, revenue, and per partner profits are all in line with other AMLAW firms; Support - correctly identifying where the team needs additional support; Technology - this is quite possibly the biggest “con”, which is investment in building proprietary software and infrastructure, an unbelievably expensive task for a law firm; Opaque path to partnership - criteria?; Lack of consistency between teams on the approach to similar situations and poor internal communication to adopt a single approach as one firm.
