Pros
This place attracts insanely talented and smart people who burn out very fast. They don’t stay too long. Pros: 1. Staff level employees are great and inspiring people at and outside of work. I learned a lot from them and made amazing connections with kind and caring people. 2. Good work-life balance.
Cons
Cons: 1. Gaslighting by leadership - you will be micromanaged and disempowered to make basic decisions about things you were hired to do in the first place. This place will make you doubt any skills and knowledge you bring to the table. 2. No place for growth - basically a lack of raises (the only raise that I got was probably 2%, which in fact is just a cost of living adjustment, barely). Pay gap between the leadership and staff is abysmal. 3. Incredibly high turnover - and turnover that feeds even more turnover. Lack of motivation and actions to retain talent. 4. This place is run by power struggles and egos. No transparency in hiring and promotion practices. 5. Unpredictable firing practices - staff being fired out of the blue even though they perform well. 6. Lack of professionalism from the leadership, i.e. a leadership position person running an all-staff meeting from Starbucks (where’s confidentiality!?). 7. Gave all staff a week off - but what does it even mean when one is faced with so much stress on the first day after the time off? Truly a performative action.
