Fun Environment Mostly For Broke 20-yr Olds - Junior Financial Consultant Florida Financial Advisors Employee Review

Pros

Fun, kind of like a grown-up frat house but also diverse (rich kids, broke hustlers, a couple older people, West-coasters, East-coasters, a few super religious people, a lot of bros and bro-girls).

Cons

Most likely you will not make money and will quit within a year. That's just what typically happens. In order to succeed, you must possess a hardcore work ethic, some form of charisma or ethos (many advisors grow a beard and wear watches for this reason). You must be able to tune out entertainment, turn your social media presence into a personal brand, and sustain focus on boring and emotionally draining tasks for 10+ hours per day.

Pros

Tons of learnings around financial consulting and leadership of advisors

Cons

It’s hard to start a practice from scratch, lots of phone calls and emails to get started

Pros

There are no pros whatsoever for working at Florida Financial Advisors.

Cons

There is no salary even though they said there would be one during the interview process. You aren't trained to be a financial advisor. You are trained to sell insurance and annuities. Even if you do tough it out, you will be subjected to weekly cult-like CEO worship and a multi-level marketing style organization structure. The only way to succeed long-term is to go into management and make money off of people you pull into taking the job.
