Pros
Working with children is incredibly rewarding and seeing them build confidence and achieve things that they thought they couldn't previously gives you a feeling of satisfication. The main reason which keeps me going on in this job.
Longer hours during Summer camps are also great, especially if you're working with a good team and your site has good facilities and friendly staff. So that's a big plus.
Cons
The environment of the head office is toxic and many of them (not all of them), do not care about staff's wellbeing which is quite upsetting to be honest. Relating to issues such as asking you to travel around the whole of the M25 just to get to another lunchtime club or extended provision, relating to issues such as pay and also flexibility.
Also, 28 days of holiday is really only 20 because bank holidays are taken out of your holiday allowance, which to me makes no sense.
