Pros

Amount of PTO is very good. Remote work (all investigative research employees are remote now).

Cons

Management only cares about meeting their made-up metrics, with no real regard for a realistic workload for the size of the team. They don’t care if you have to cut corners or work extra hours to meet their made-up numbers or the extremely unrealistic deadlines, which got even worse my last year there. For example, it’s not uncommon for a report that used to be written by one person to now be written by two or three different people in order to get it out quicker, sometimes by the next day. They by far value crappy work done fast, over quality work done a little slower, even though our clients have always hired us because of our quality. Management also continuously tweaks the product and process without getting input from the people actually doing the work, which in the end leads to confusion and a feeling that upper management doesn’t even understand the work the team does. Morale was extremely low when I left because of all the constant changes and items described here. Don’t come here if you want to do a good job and take any pride in your work.
