Excellent Company Culture & Great Team - Senior Analyst Fifth Season Financial Employee Review

Pros

This is a great place to work. It's a relatively small team that moves very efficiently. The company has an open-door culture and never feels like a hierarchy. Every employee is encouraged to contribute to their maximum ability and doesn't have to worry about red tape or company politics. Ownership understands that people have lives outside of the office. It's a very professional and well-run organization but they also do a very good job of keeping the atmosphere light and fun whenever possible, and providing flexibility so that employees can maintain their work-life balance. The company provides a service to people who are in need which makes the work more rewarding than other positions elsewhere.

Cons

Not a con regarding the company, but the industry is challenging and can come with a bit of a learning curve.

Pros

At Fifth Season, the office environment is friendly and welcoming. I truly enjoy coming to work every morning. There are always opportunities to learn, and management makes everyone feel valued and treats employees exceptionally well. I could not have asked for a better internship experience!

Cons

I do not have any cons.

Pros

Free gym membership; free assorted snacks; free beverages; free weekly lunch; annual family fun day; annual group ski trip; potluck Thanksgiving (a/k/a "friends-giving") lunch. Can watch TV, play games and drink alcohol in the office. Attempts are made to create a fun work environment to alleviate the macabre nature of the business.

Cons

A dysfunctional, disrespectful, unprofessional and gossipy work environment. The office is managed like a frat house. Camaraderie is forced (if you cannot attend a company lunch/event you will be maligned).
