Pros
there are no redeeming qualities to this organization.
Cons
I was contacted by a recruiter about an open position at FSR. At first the gentlemen running the organization seemed nice. they were a long standing accounting firm looking to expand their financial planning services. I was the first "financial planner" they hired to help. Needless to say it was not a good experience at all. The first day I showed up I was yelled at by the HR woman because I had parked in the wrong spot. (There were no posted parking signs to indicate designated parking for the owner and his son) and forced me to move my car. the same women continued to be cold and cruel to me the whole time I was there. Such a great way to start a relationship with a new employee. Ultimately after being there a few days, I realized that there is a core group of people who have been there for a long time and they hate all new people who join them. I never felt welcome. The owner and his son protect them and only them. Nepotism runs rampant! Family members are given special treatment and can do whatever they want. I was shoved in a corner and given nothing to do before they let me go after a short period with no explanation. After a few months I reached out to the two people (non-family members or part of the protected core group of people) who were nice to me and found out that they were also let go after being there much longer than I was. They were devasted. It was a terrible place to work and I warn anyone who is thinking about accepting a position there. You will not be given any opportunities or loyalty unless you are family.
