If you take sick leave, management assumes it is fake and reacts with anger. Managers closely track the number of sick days taken; if it happens more than three times in a year, you are warned and told to stop. Micromanagement is at an extreme level. It is considered a problem if you drink coffee or eat more than twice a day, even when working at your laptop. Employees are not allowed to talk in the office. Conversations are discouraged, whether they are work-related or non-work-related.
