Pros
I know everyone says the culture of their company is great but that is only one small thing that I love about Experitec. More importantly, my day consists of working on challenging projects with autonomy to choose how I want to accomplish them and knowing that I also have a support system in my Experitec family if I need them. A huge difference I've noticed here is that leadership is not intimidating or unapproachable. I feel comfortable enough to walk into the President's office and ask a question. Along the same lines, there are no closed doors. What I mean by that is every single office (yes, even the President's) has ceiling to floor glass panels in the front so there's transparency- literally! Experitec also has a very family oriented feel and we're still a small enough company that you won't get lost in the mix or become just a "number." However, it's important to note that we are a local business partner to Emerson Process Management which is a prominent global distributor. That's a high-caliber partner right there! This partnership allows employees to get a feel for both worlds. The final thing I would say that is great about Experitec is the company's desire to keep it's employees happy. Everything from flexible work hours, great benefits and competitive pay and even the small things like a free soda machine! We also recently started a Career Development program which encourages employees to speak openly with their managers about their career aspirations and even what they dislike about their current position.
Cons
I can give insight into the type of person that will not thrive here. Our success depends on our customer service and what we refer to as our "customer intimacy" by going above and beyond and knowing what our customers want before they even do. If someone is not willing to go the extra mile or stay the extra hour when the need arises then this isn't the place for them. We also work in a world of change here, if someone has trouble being flexible and adapting to what's coming next then this is not an environment that they will enjoy. We are constantly adapting to meet customer needs and wants and to the different business environments that we serve.
