Pros
It's a breath of fresh air not to have to peruse the "flavor of the month". That makes for a well-balanced culture yet one that still expects quality work from its employees. The direction is clear, goals are well-defined and communicated and you are given support to achieve those. I really enjoy working for an organization that has outperformed its peer group for 40+ years. There is a comfortable feeling here that as long as you achieve your goals and are a good team player you will be rewarded.
Cons
If you are wanting to work for an organization with a "start up" culture, this is not the one for you. No crazy long hours or chasing the "next big thing".
