Everyone has a voice at the table. +The ability to work from home when needed. +Many office lunches that the company paid for. +I new basic photoshop, but here, I learned how to use illustrator and indesign to assist with projects. +health benefits and IRA +yearly employee reviews and warranted raises/bonuses

Cons

+The office was far from where I lived +No designated parking for employees +Watering plants (I don't have a green thumb)

Pros

If you really really want to know what it takes to become a nonprofit consultant, and/or to understand how to do sourcing and recruiting, and hire for nonprofits, Envision Consulting is where it's at. They approach hiring, consulting and strategy with innovation, unlike other firms that are likely household names based on rolodexes created ages ago.

Cons

If you're used to not being held accountable for your own work or if your previous employers enabled you to slip through the cracks, Envision will be a challenge for you. But, if you're used to keeping track of your projects through a CRM (basically, you should be technologically savvy) and keeping an open line of communication, you'll do well at Envision!

Envision Consulting Response

Thank you sincerely for this important feedback, even if it's a little hard to read. Since we pride ourselves on being data-driven and transparent, feedback like this is critical for us to review and improve our practices. Candidate confidence is central to us being able to deliver our services, and we work really hard on being responsive with both timelines and feedback. But, I will admit that we sometimes miss the mark. Candidates spend their time and effort to apply to, interview for, and research the jobs we offer, and it is incredibly disappointing and frustrating when they don’t get timely responses or feedback. It’s something we are always evolving on, and improving on, in fact we have really invested in improving our candidate communications and engagement in the last year by adding staff, setting internal deadlines to update candidates, and revising our contracts with clients asking that they make timely decisions. Additionally, all candidates receive an invitation to participate in a blind review of their experience with us. We will continue to monitor our responses and progress in this area. As to the title “concern about sales,” we want to clarify here that employees in recruiting and strategy are not responsible for business development. If the intention was to state that the agency overall is “overly concerned” about revenue, we regularly turn down projects that we aren’t able to deliver to our high standards or enter into arrangements that don’t treat our employees or candidates fairly. We continue to grow, but our measured pace has earned us a strong reputation among nonprofits and professionals alike. Lastly, I want to convey how sorry I am that your experience here wasn’t what either of us had hoped for. We have long tenures with most of our team, and it is always disappointing when things don’t work out. I hope that you have found a better fit for employers at this point, and know we wish you the best in your future endeavors. - Allison Fuller, Managing Partner and Co-Founder
