Ensemble Health Partners Response
6yThank you for your positive remarks regarding Ensemble’s culture and diversity. We couldn’t be more proud of our team and the environment that we foster for each other. Our culture of inclusion has yielded immeasurable rewards both personal and professional.
I did want to remark on the inconsistency you perceived in our commitment avoid furloughs while some associates were let go. While I always regret it, the fact remains: in an organization of over 6000 people there will be times when individuals choose to leave and times when we need to let someone go. In an industry where so many organizations jumped to furlough and cut, our executive team opted to take a reduction in compensation in order to avoid cutting or furloughing our associate staff as we endured significant reductions in revenues during the pandemic. We stood firm on our core principle of people first, last and always.
Thank you also for your comments on my emails. I am so glad that they brought you positivity. I take your feedback to heart. It would be impossible to overstate how important this family is to me. I wish I could spend a full week with each member of this amazing team.
Certainly, whenever we get consistent reports of an issue with a member of our team, whether it’s a front-line associate or a senior exec, we take it seriously. We use a rigorous and consistent, three-phase process to address staff issues and we provide multiple communication channels for associates to raise concerns (including an open door policy at every tier of leadership). If your sense is that concerns you had shared about a particular leader went unheeded, I want to encourage you to reach out to me to let me know - ShareWithShannon@EnsembleHP.com. I am committed to empowering the voices of our associates and I want to make sure our communication channels are supporting that.
