Cons
EVERYTHING. After I starting teaching on a few other platforms, I realised how rudimentary this company is. - their platform interface looks old and dusty, and whenever there is a technical issue, they try to blame the teacher for it - no option to conduct the lesson on a different software if their platform doesn't work well - no option to reschedule the lesson - no protection for the teacher against abusive students - the teacher has to be like a robot - no need to use your brain, just read, have the student repeat and that's all - no time to prepare in advance for the lesson - except for a few situations, you'll only find out what the student wants to study once the class starts - no way to save slots for your regular students - the pay is a JOKE - about half as much as the minimum hourly wage in my country I'm so happy that I'm teaching on other platforms and keep this only as a filler. I can't believe I dedicated so much of my time to this terrible platform in the past. The most outrageous thing is that they have the audacity to demand exclusivity (not working for another teaching platform). I'll listen to this when they'll pay correctly. Until then, I'll work with as many platforms as I want.
