Pros

It is a great cause, helping those in need.

Cons

Management is the worst I have experienced. Shady business practices. Shady use of state monies. Harassment and rudeness is toxic and majority comes from management. If you are one of the "chosen ones", your awful treatment is paid is bonuses to keep you there, but only if you are one of the special ones. Insurance for spouse/family is totally unaffordable. No one can afford $900+ a month when only making $14 an hour. Amazing how management can sleep at night with how they treat their people.

Pros

Had good co-workers. I had a good supervisor. I feel good knowing I'm working for a good cause and not for some shareholder.

Cons

Sometimes the office get quiet.

Pros

Energy Services is an amazing place to work because of the opportunity to help people maintain heat and electric in their homes. Also, it's a great way to help people replace their furnace or hot water heaters for home owners. Knowing you are helping make a difference feels good.

Cons

The organization and structure of many of the positions are not well-designed. Also, the training that’s offered is sparse, with very few training materials or manuals. There’s a state online training, but that’s only two days, at most. With no guidance and such minimal training, it’s not surprising that the intake specialist is held responsible for any errors. And, to make matters worse, there’s no opportunity for advancement or development. It’s not a great environment if you’re looking for growth.
