Pros
Company does not require constant business development leads from client-site workers. No significant taskings beyond what you are contracted to do.
Cons
Paychecks often inaccurate and unreliable. CFO and payroll are a train wreck; slow to react or remedy pay problems. Both display great indifference and zero remorse when personnel are not paid appropriate amounts and on-time. No realization or concern that they affect a person's life and livelihood. Cycled through 4 program managers in a 2 year term; no consistency. Several were good leaders but suffered the corporate culture of apathy when trying to resolve issues for workers. Overall treatment of employees below the executive adminisphere is that of disposable entities. Had one senior manager in my chain who was introduced with much hooplah and fanfare only to have him be ineffective, unavailable and the absolute embodiment of the Peter principle. Company is very fat in the middle with an entire herd of corporate site cattle eating into overhead and revenue while providing a minuscule to nonexistent return on investment. IT policies and staff underwhelming. IT helpdesk is task adverse.
