Doing meaningful work. Management is excellent! Great atmosphere.

No cons for me at this time!

The only pros about working here was the team I worked with and the experience I gained. Other than that everything else was horrible.

Poorly staffed for the amount of work we had. To start off, we kept getting more work and but never more staff to help with the increasing workload. Some employees were working so much overtime (10-15 hour shifts ) just to get the work done. The CEO and President of the company acted shocked and surprised when it was brought to their attention. They also kept making the same promises for a whole year about hiring more staff to help with the increase of work but never did. The CEO loves to say “I have 30+ plus years of experience” every chance he gets in meetings and to anyone he can to make it seem like he’s knows what he’s doing but clearly doesn’t know how to help out a team that is drowning in work and trying to meet impossible deadlines. The work life balance is not there. We were never asked if we could stay overtime, it was just expected of us to stay and work until the work was done. Even if it meant working 10-15 hours. You had to set your boundaries to leave at your scheduled time. You should never have to do that at any job. They claim to care about patients and that patient care is first when in reality they’re sacrificing quality patient care by not properly staffing the team and having the team work a crazy amount of hours. It is extremely disorganized and understaffed that there causing room for error and mistakes. Some of the patient biopsies would sit for days without being processed because we didn’t have the staff to do it. They give their employees false promises as well as buy them kids happy meals from McDonalds as a thank you for your hard work. They pay is also really low for all the work and stress we had to take on. Don’t even bother asking for a raise. They also like to take on new clients and buy out others to take on their clients without preparing the staff with the proper training and the proper materials to successfully get patient results out. When something went wrong in the lab they would claim that we were at fault for not being too focused. Management also doesn’t care about our concerns and does not make an effort to change things when we brought to their attention. They also seem like they don’t care enough to ask why you are deciding to leave the company. They know why and don’t bother to change anything. They also act like they don’t see you when you put in your weeks notice. They also like to lay off people for “critical mistakes” that were caused by the overwhelming workload we were poorly staffed for. They also like to lay people off when they continuously bring up our needs to their attention. They also like to get reviews taken down from here that don’t rate them highly so hopefully this doesn’t get taken down. My only advice if you decide to work here is get the experience and leave. Don’t work here longer than a year.
