Pros
You have job! A very low paying job, but non the less a job.
Cons
Underpaid, under appreciated, and over worked. This company is all about making money with little to no concern for their employees. On a hotel property level, management is as good as corporate will allow considering how much micro-managing that takes place. It is as if Elite only wants to hire workers with little to no education and desperately needs a job and income. Therefore, most may not know or care that they deserve better treatment and pay. It's really sad the scrutiny the staff goes through and unpreparedness from corporate on material needed for completing certain jobs only in effort to cut cost and put more money in corporate's pocket. It took almost 3 months to get an approval on roofers to fix the overly leaking roof after numerous patch jobs failed. Most management positions serve as a dual role, sometimes triple role, however compensation over covers one third of one role. I truly enjoy working in the hospitality industry and do not discourage anyone fro doing so, however I recommend you research the management company responsible for the property you are interested in working for and see if you are a fit for their way of doing things. It's clear I was not a fit for this company, and clearly they felt the same and smiled at every opportunity to get rid of me. IT WORKED!!!
