Pros
I have been with Egnyte through some good and bad times. There are a few things that have kept me with Egnyte while many others have left. First, I love the product and the space. Egnyte has one of the most solid SaaS solutions on the market today. Second, there are a few key leaders that have mentored me and have been in the trenches with me. I have the utmost respect for that type of leadership. Call me old fashioned but that has created loyalty in me. Finally, the people. I have the opportunity to work with a ton of amazing and talented folks.
Cons
We need to improve the sales rep experience. This starts with new hire training, to ensure the sales reps know what to do and how to do it. Good news is that we are actively working on this. The other part of the sales rep experience has to do with lead generation. Today, the sales reps have to create a large part of their own pipeline. We need to increase the amount of leads driven by marketing so that the sales reps can focus on selling vs prospecting. We have the right sales leader in place but these changes will take time. I just hope we don’t lose too many good people in the interim.
