Thank you very much for taking the time to write a detailed review of the Company. As we have said previously, Sales is a tough industry, and not everyone enjoys it, however there are many benefits to working in a commission role if you have the perseverance and determination to succeed.
I was pleased to read your comments about our culture, in the past year we have worked hard to ensure that both staff benefits and training have supported not only your interests, but also your professional development. We increased holiday allowance, clarified our Front Office career pathways, and implemented a Company-wide training programme from junior to senior levels. As with any training, we are continually looking to improve implementation and the strategy behind the sessions, and thank you for your feedback.
Regarding your comments about our targets, we expect you to spend a certain amount of your working day calling, with the remainder of your time spent on the tasks you have outlined above (lead sourcing, improving your pitch, etc). The minutes target is there to focus you and to encourage you to have meaningful conversations. We would actually prefer our staff to make fewer calls, if they are the right kind, but we also need a method of measuring your performance, which is why we use this target. It would not be feasible to measure the number of calls, as this wouldn’t encourage an employee to have meaningful discussions that could lead to new business.
