Things are looking up, as the President has resigned and the Eastern Board of Directors have hired a new President. The former had not raised a single penny for the university and indeed dipped into a principal fund to build a gym, restructured the hierarchy and fired tenured professors. He left the university in debt. His departure was good news. The new President is a highly competent and experienced individual who has spent many years in the academic trenches.
