Pros
- employee discount can be used in conjunction with sales - company has a "back end" website that all employees have access to ensuring everyone is on the same page in regards to company policies, procedures and anything else - occasionally vendors would send managers gifts of items we sold in store
Cons
- Company discourages sales under $140 - you can actually get written up for having consecutive single sales under $140 per sale - I was given 3 weeks notice before my store closed before we lost our lease and was told not to tell my team until 7 days before we closed - Managers are required to attend a religious seminar geared towards bettering your management and leadership style - this was held in a church for 2 days where we were not compensated for travel. Though they said it was "optional" when I inquired with my Director on this, I was told that it was mandatory. - most "bloggers" or "well known" fashionistas that the company works with publicly have a religious undertone to their work relationship- either a religious author, religious speaker or religious life coach - advancement is near impossible - reviews are only done twice/year so any "compensation/raise" gets retroactively paid from your start date (could be up to 6 months!) and if you change careers, you are not eligible for your raise whatsoever - company has closed 2 stores so far with plans to possibly close 3 more - a true sign of moving too fast too soon
