Pros
*Trainers and HR were very helpful throughout my entire time with the company *No overtime unless requested *Yearly bonus for the first few years *Curriculum allowed for changes to activities to better suit the needs of students *Students were amazing *Helped set up apartment *Very thorough training at the start *Schools are typically close to busy areas *HR always took my preferences into consideration when creating new schedules each year
Cons
*Not a lot of room for advancement if you don't want to move up to HR or School Director/Sales positions *Sales goals are often set for the entire district/region without regard for each school's unique situation *School directors are either super awesome or very frustrating (I had an amazing school director for 2 and a half years but after they left, the replacement was awful and is the only reason I quit the company) *Some schools can be pretty far away (but commute is less than 2 hours) *District managers and above often only consider costs rather than how policies will affect students *Upper management is not flexible at all *Some of the other native teachers are there because they want to live in Japan and this is the easiest way to get a visa, not because they actually want to teach
