Unfortunately sometimes the economy does not go in the direction we hope. It is never easy to have to lay people off, but it should also be noted that many Dynacor employees have made their way back to Dynacor. Currently, we are in growth mode as the Alberta economy recovers and more requests come in every week. The future is bright at Dynacor.

Pros

- Decent to add the resume for the beginning of my career - Paid Christmas break - decent starting pay for young people at the start of their careers

Cons

- Feels like you are being watched at all times, I was half sure they could see my screen on theirs when they wanted to access it - When doing the 6mo reviews they have extremely high expectations, when I strived to meet their goals to do well at the next review they gave me a 1 out of 5 across the board. It’s difficult to ever feel like you’re succeeding there - the middle management seemed jealous of anyone doing well except him, he is quite like the pet of the company and wants to be the only one who is seen as successful - the owners never seem to have anything nice to say, almost always criticism - lunch room is awkward but there is nothing around the area so there’s almost no time to go out for lunch - not a friendly environment - I could only ever take a break at lunch time so I had to take up smoking to get a break once in a while - No windows and minimal natural light

Glassdoor is a great place for employees to share their feedback on employers, however the statements expressed in this review above are grossly misleading. At Dynacor, we have a remote/hybrid working environment and an open-door policy, we encourage employees who have issues to bring them forward to their leaders. We do not and have not ever monitored employee screens remotely. Our performance reviews are conducted once at 3 months for new staff, and then yearly. These performance reviews are conducted in an open and honest format. Our headquarters are located in an industrial district, employees are empowered to be responsible to plan their own lunch breaks and build in these breaks in their workday. We’re open to feedback and suggestions for improvements, especially if issues are stemming from people in leadership positions. We hope in the future, anyone compelled to write a review like this about Dynacor provides feedback directly and internally. We appreciate all feedback and will continue to evolve and enhance our business strategies.

Pros

The workers were great, skilled, passionate, and engaged.

Cons

Ownership was not connected to the purpose of the business and therefore could not lead out of any shared values. There were some racist hiring practices displayed by the ownership.
