Pros

Culture, people, overall ease of job and responsibilities. Great benefits and work/life balance. Also I had a couple of amazing managers here!

Cons

First off I was basically lied to about my base pay when I got the role, I was told I was salary when come to find out day one I am in fact hourly. Total Comp plan/Pay is a joke, the commission isn't terrible but the base pay is just outrageously low for a sales role, when I started there was lots of fun bonus opportunities that pretty much came to a halt when I was "promoted" which to be honest felt more like a demotion since I was actually making a bit less then promised. Also simple processes that should be a no brainer take this company days/weeks/months to drag across the finish line. Doordash has been around for a WHILE you would think they would have some of these things down by now? I was also promised equity which was never received, was given a pay raise which took weeks to implement. You know its a bad thing when the saying around the company is "well thats just DoorDash for ya!' or "well its on DoorDash time!" when referring to being super delayed/behind on pretty much any deadline that is promised thats the excuse you get.

Pros

If you are considering working with this platform, be aware that the management model is built on deliberate ambiguity. The app and software are designed to keep you in a constant state of uncertainty regarding your performance metrics. There is no transparency regarding how jobs are assigned or how your work is actually evaluated. This appears to be a calculated strategy to keep workers chasing 'better status' without ever providing a clear path to achieve it. You will never know if you are truly meeting expectations because the system is intentionally opaque. Approach with caution if you value transparency and clear communication.

Cons

The supposed 'flexibility' of this role is actually a double-edged sword. While the platform advertises freedom, it functions as a lack of structure and support. Because the performance metrics are intentionally opaque, the 'independence' of the job feels more like isolation. You are left guessing if your efforts are actually valued or just another input in an algorithm that doesn't prioritize worker success.
