Pros
Location. People were generally nice and professionally friendly. There were very few who were actually helpful. You will have a greater appreciation of what it's like to work at a good company after having worked at Total Produce.
Cons
A career dead end. This is not a software company or a tech company. Don't expect anything interesting or modern here. The office is inside a fruit a vegetable warehouse. And it's very cold in the winter. Company culture is non-existent, there is a complete lack of team feeling within. Don't expect any events, company parties, celebrations. You go to the office, you do your time, you leave. Depressing. Technologies used are outdated and so is the mindset. You won't be picking up new skills or working with the latest technologies. There is no adherence to any coding standards, principles, patterns or development methodologies. There was a major conflict of interest within the company. The teams were divided between the English team located in Birmingham and the team in Dublin. The English team was the original, old team who held the business knowledge, who naturally and understandably, once found that Dublin office could replace them, did their best not to cooperate and made things very difficult. If you have any career aspirations or have interest in software development, do yourself a favor and stay away. The pay was below the industry standard.
